How can I sharpen a milling cutter?
Before sharpening skills, the grinding wheel must be checked. If the grinding wheel vibrates, the cylindrical surface is irregular, and the arc is too large, it must be modified. If the grinding wheel plan is different, the grinding wheel can be replaced.
End mill inner hole cutting technology:
1. The technology of grinding the end face of the end mill.
No matter how many heads the end mill has, the inner hole of the head must be cut vertically to bisect the pivot axis, which is to ensure that the highest part of the head can be on the same plan. There are the following methods to correct the perpendicularity of the tool tip face relative to the axis of the end mill.
Visually. Using a flat plate, place the end mill on the flat plate and observe the left and right inclination angles. Then turn the milling cutter 180 degrees and observe its up and down tilt angle. If the inclination angles of the two observation data information in the same direction are different, cutting must be carried out, and the inclination angles of the two observation points in the same direction are the same. Then, the alloy milling cutter was turned 90 degrees, and the above posture was repeated.
Use a square ruler to correct. The milling cutter and the rectangular ruler are adjusted with 90 square feet on the flat plate. After the milling cutter and the right ruler are leveled, observe whether there is a gap between the milling cutter and the right ruler.
Self-calibration. Clamp the alloy milling cutter on the top of the chuck of the planer or CNC lathe, place the waste sand wheel directly under it, start the mechanical equipment at a moderate speed ratio, move the alloy milling cutter downward, grind the sand wheel, and then grind the sand wheel. Grinding is carried out under the milling cutter grinding standard.
2. The technology of opening cross chip flutes for end mills.
If there is no circular groove at the end of the four-tool end turning tool, be sure to open the cross groove with the grinding wheel arc again along the spiral groove of the turning tool. When drilling, be careful not to make the side of the grinding wheel meet the lower edge (Note: the cross groove has the effect of milling, if it is not turned on, the slope of the edge toward the central government dent will increase).
3. Grinding technology of end mill end face cutting edge.
According to the principle of retaining the tip of each blade, the rake, relief and relief angles cannot be ground (if the cutting volume is required to be good, the blade wedge and edge corners are recommended.
The angles are 6 to 8 and 30 to 45, respectively. The choice of relief angle should be changed according to the hardness of the workpiece. The harder the material, the smaller the angle. The selection standard of the angle of view of the corner is that all four blades must be dented in the middle, the angle of view is consistent and the surface roughness accuracy is excellent. At this time, the heavier the production processing depth (for example, more than 3mm but within the allowable range), the better the surface roughness accuracy, because all cutting edges participate in the cutting result.
